Field Trips

  • Begin in February 2026 and will be available to public, private, charter, and home school groups (minimum 10 students).
  • Fully aligned to Texas science or math standards.
  • 2-hour experience with 4 hands-on learning stations across the STEAM Center.
  • Available Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m.- Noon or 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Accommodates up to 4 classes (100 total students) per session.
  • 1 adult chaperone per 10 students required.
  • Outdoor lunch area available for use.

World’s Weirdest Animals!

On this exciting K–2 field trip, students will step into the wacky world of weird animals! From unusual adaptations to surprising survival strategies, young explorers will discover how animals thrive in diverse ecosystems. Through habitat observations, hands-on activities, and even designing their own one-of-a-kind creature, students will uncover the secrets of survival and learn how food chains keep nature in balance. Why Did Dinos Go Extinct?

Why did dinosaurs go extinct? In this engaging field trip for grades 3–5, students will explore how scientists study modern animal structures and adaptations to better understand how dinosaurs once lived and survived. Students will investigate instincts, behaviors, and inherited traits to see how they influence survival. They will also explore dinosaur food chains to understand predator-prey relationships and ecosystem dynamics. Artemis Expedition to the Moon!

Blast off on an Artemis-inspired mission to the Moon! In this exciting field trip, students will explore space and physical science concepts while learning how NASA astronauts prepare for the next lunar mission. Designed for grades 4–5, the experience can be easily adapted for younger students, making it a hands-on adventure in science, technology, engineering, and space exploration.

STAAR Math Review

Make STAAR math review fun and hands-on with 4 dynamic activities at the STEAM Center! Designed for students in grades 3–5, this program combines exciting STEAM challenges with targeted math practice, helping students strengthen critical skills and build confidence as they prepare for the STAAR test.
